Not only did it take less than 10 minutes of prep time total, this recipe is also really delicious. I was afraid the white chocolate would overpower, but the end result is perfect. It's more like pretzels and peanuts with a little bit of white chocolate to hold it together. It makes a great mix of sweet and savory. So if you have some last minute gifts left, and only $10 to spare, make these and you'll have a great present for 4-5 people. Enjoy!

Peanut Pretzel Bark

INGREDIENTS

18 (1-ounce) squares white chocolate (I used bags of white chocolate chips)
3 cups skinny pretzel sticks, broken into small pieces but not
crushed, then measured
2 cups dry salted peanuts

DIRECTIONS

1. Line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment or waxed paper.

2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave in a 2 quart glass dish on high (100 percent) for 1 minute, stir, and microwave on high for 1 minute more. If necessary, microwave on high for 10 seconds more, and stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

3. Stir in the pretzel pieces and peanuts. Stir well with a flexible spatula.

4. Spoon onto the prepared cookie sheet, spreading the mixture out so that ingredients are relatively evenly distributed.

5. Allow for the chocolate to cool for several hours or refrigerate for about 45 minutes, until firm.

6. Break the bark into irregular pieces, like peanut brittle. Store in cookie tins, or package in Chinese food take-out cartoons lined with waxed paper.
